Boma Measurement
Boma
Whether you are a tenant who would like an accurate measurement of the space you rent or a building owner looking to maximize your leasable space, we are certified to provide you with an accurate Boma floor plan and lease area measurements.
At Arc Measurements, we’re experienced in providing detailed area measurements in accordance with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) standards. What is Boma?
BOMA is a non-profit trade association that represents the interests of building owners, managers, and developers. One of BOMA’s key functions is to establish industry standards for building measurement and classification, which are widely used by architects, engineers, and real estate professionals.
BOMA measurement are is important for both building owners and tenants, as it provides a standardized method of measuring the rentable area. This can help to ensure that tenants are charged a fair rental rate, based on the actual size of the space they occupy, which includes both the usable area and the common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and elevators.

BOMA standard
The BOMA standard will then be used to calculate the rentable area of the building, which takes into account the usable area, the common areas, and any other factors such as balconies. Once calculated, this information will be imputed into a BOMA Floor Area Measurement Report, which provides a detailed breakdown of the usable and rentable square footage of the building. The report will include a summary of the calculations, as well as detailed floor plans and supporting documentation. The BOMA report is then reviewed and certified by one of our licensed technicians, to ensure its accuracy and that it meets the BOMA standard
